My Bridal Shower

It’s no secret that the women in my family are professionals when it comes to hosting and planning events. Since I was living in New York during wedding planning (and because this girl loves surprises), I took no part in the bridal shower process.

If you know me, you know I love two things: everything Mexican and brunch. The joke in my house for years has been, “I hope one of us marries a Mexican so we can have Mexican wedding decor.” And since none of us married a Mexican, my bridal shower became the place to make all of our dreams come true.

My grandmothers, aunts, mom, sisters and cousins transformed our backyard into the most perfect space with white papel picado hung across our terrace, a handmade backdrop with vibrant colors and cacti, extravagant floral arrangements by Ever After Floral Design and all the food? Homemade by my mom, mother-in-law, two grandmothers, aunts, sisters and cousins. It was so special.

Here is a glimpse into my Mexican soiree. Enjoy!
